Hi, I’m Ahmed

I’m a software engineer in Toronto focused on backend systems, architecture, and leadership. I lead growth initiatives—service extraction, SEO, experiments—and care about growth and impact, clear APIs, and helping teams ship.

About me

I’m a growth-focused engineer with a track record of impact: I’ve led service extraction from a monolith (cutting deploy times from days to hours), driven signup and SEO wins (e.g. 150k+ link migration, +3.4% ranking), and run experiments that move conversion and GMV. B.Comp in CS and Statistics (Guelph). I focus on backend, APIs, and architecture—Rails, Node, and beyond—and on leading cross-team initiatives that ship.

Outside of work I care a lot about health and fitness: I bike whenever I can, and I try to stay consistent with training. I also read a fair bit and play piano when I have time—both help me switch off and think differently.
